Final Word from Tuesday, September 14, 2021
Andrej Babiš has perfected the art of buying votes, according to the opposition, and this is going to land the country in big financial trouble in the future. Pensioners are especially susceptible, the argument goes, and if ANO wins the elections, the threshold of what is acceptable in terms of vote-buying will be raised. True enough, but a similar thing is happening in terms of travel, dining and recreation, without attracting the same level of attention. Fully vaccinated individuals across Europe are being given certain advantages, with the result that they are not noticing or caring how the thresholds for imposing restrictions on others are being lowered. The vaccinated, thinking that they are immune to the restrictions, have become tools in a creeping government expropriation of human rights. This is best evident when we see how "red" Europe has become, even though the covid situation is not that bad. Logically, even the vaccinated will suffer greatly if this is allowed to continue.
