Dir. Michal V. Marek of the Global Change Research Institute in Brno told Czech TV on Sat. that we should not forget that the CR is still one of the most industrialized countries in Europe and that it will be a big problem to resolve the issue of its dependence on fossil fuels. What he said is nothing new, but it takes on new meaning as epidemiologists and other experts make a final big push to close down Czech industry for at least seven days over Easter. These experts have given no expert reasons for why forcing healthy people to stay at home is so critical, given that so little effort is being made to protect vulnerable people. But if you start looking at these experts as agents of Greta Thunberg and the organizations that want to reduce carbon emissions, it makes more sense. Covid-19 could be the catalyst for eliminating the CR as one of the most industrialized countries in Europe. For this to happen, the seven-day Easter shutdown would of course have to be extended repeatedly. [ Czech Republic MeSES Petr Smejkal Television at-risk risk endangered ]
