Health Min. Jan Blatný issued an emergency measure yesterday with the consent of the cabinet that stands in direct violation of the new pandemic law. That law, which has higher legal authority than an emergency measure, allows the government to order companies to test for covid, yet Blatný ordered large companies yesterday to start testing for the coronavirus, not the disease. Blatný even acknowledged the difference between the two in the order by stating that covid-19 is caused by SARS-CoV-2. Some readers will say it makes no difference if he is violating the law, because the important thing is to find those who are sick. Yet a WHO study found that the real problem could be that people with symptoms aren't staying at home.
