On nearly the same day last week that Czech PM Bohuslav Sobotka sharply criticized the policy of the US, UK and France in Syria, American journalist Michael Bohm appeared on Russian state TV and defended his own government's actions there. Bohm is a regular on Russian TV and usually sticks pretty close to the official State Dept. line. Not so last Thur., when he dismissed allegations of Vladimir Putin's involvement in the US presidential elections as "weak." If the Russians really could and were trying to influence the elections, he said, they would have hacked into Hillary's 30,000 deleted emails. So why did the CIA and Obama bring up Russian hacking again last week? Perhaps as a way to influence today's vote of the electoral college, Bohm said. The war against Trump continues, he said. It's a theory worth considering. Too bad the Czech mainstream media have paid as little attention to that as to Sobotka's damning comment about Syria.
