When your business model is based on attacking Andrej Babiš, which appears to be the case with both Pavel Šafr's Svobodné fórum and Dalibor Balšínek's Echo24, filing a slander suit against Babiš, as Šafr plans to do, is good business. František Savov of Mladá fronta and Jaromír Soukup of Empresa attack Babiš in their media for another reason: Their media outlets serve to legitimize and protect their other less-savory business activities, and Babiš is putting this revenue at risk with his targeted anti-corruption drive. With TV Nova, it's different still. It's more a classic competitive battle. It's not clear what Babiš is doing at TV Prima. Is he buying half of it outright, or is he "merely" coming to some kind of cooperative agreement with Ivan Zach? For TV Nova, it's a risk either way because of the anti-competitive methods Babiš uses against those who stand in his way. So expect the negative reports about Babiš on TV Nova to continue.
