Health Min. Roman Prymula said in Blesk on Sat. that a state of emergency won't be declared at least until this week's elections. Due to quarantine voting, his words won't technically be violated when the cabinet declares a state of emergency tomorrow. Prymula is in such a rush, because 0.00175% of the population has a serious case of covid-19, and new cases are rising quickly. The sooner the "massive spread" is under control, according to the colonel, the shorter the restrictions must last. Christmas will not be canceled, he told TV Prima, but a complete plan for up to then needs to be drafted soon. On July 1, the U.N. Security Council called on "all parties to armed conflicts to engage immediately in a durable humanitarian pause for at least 90 consecutive days" because of the devastating impact of the pandemic.
