Final Word from Tuesday, September 25, 2018
If the internal workings of ČSSD don't even interest readers of Právo, as ČSSD First Vice Chair Jiří Zimola stated in that newspaper on Sat., they certainly won't interest readers of the Final Word. Why should anything about a 2% party (according to a STEM/Mark poll for MFD about the Prague municipal elections) interest anyone but a handful of diehards? In fact, ČSSD is in a fascinating position from the standpoint of change management. With the success of ANO in the parliamentary elections, much of the political reshuffling on the national level has already occurred. Yet the people connected to ČSSD who were most responsible for the 7.27% election disaster are still overrepresented at such institutions as the Arbitration Court, Confederation of Industry, Czech TV, SOCR retailers' union and the ÚOHS antitrust office, to mention a few. Whoever controls ČSSD will, to a large degree, also control these institutions. This should indeed interest many readers. [ Czech Republic Television ČSSD a.s. Mladá fronta Dnes ]
