One Czech who has been seeking non-violent revenge against the Communists is singer Jaroslav Hutka, who is running for Parliament on the Greens' ticket. He hosts "Tales of the Iron Curtain" on Czech TV. It recounts the story of people who tried to escape. Many didn't make it. Others were forced to leave against their will. One family forced into emigration, the Čeřovskýs, were disappointed upon returning after the Velvet Revolution to find some of the same Communists in charge. Zbyněk Čeřovský said he had imagined it otherwise. He had thought the people who committed crimes would be punished. Premier Jiří Paroubek blamed ODS and its friendly journalists at MFD and LN for creating the anti-Communist atmosphere that led to the beating of Communist Vice Chair Jiří Dolejš. Perhaps, but by inching the Communists back to power, Paroubek played his own part too. [Czech Republic KSČM Czech Television Czechoslovakia MF Dnes Lidové noviny]
