For weeks prior to the Nato summit, the Czech media were full of reports about the security precautions to be taken. George W. Bush never stays in the same place twice, the reports said, and he moved a planned speech at Radio Free Europe because the location got out. But then Bush spent three straight nights at the same location, the U.S. residence in Prague 6. Because of press reports and the traffic restrictions in effect whenever Bush was at the residence, it was obvious where he was staying. He was with his relative and friend, Ambassador Craig Stapleton. Did Bush - referred to constantly by the Czech press as the "most powerful man in the world" - relax his security so that he could be with his friend? What about the constant threat of a terrorist attack? Whatever Bush's reason, it was nice to see that he considers Prague to be so safe.
